El Maestro

El Maestro is the leader and original member of our Conjunto Norteño. His nickname comes from his father, a butcher whose skilled hands prepared the finest cecina in Mexico using a technique over 200 years old. The beef is thinly sliced with an extremely sharp knife, seasoned with salt, and sun-dried. El Maestro inherited his father’s gifted hands, and when he moved to Texas, he used them to play the most important instrument in Música Norteña, el acordeón, becoming the fastest accordionist in the Lone Star State.
